Infrared saunas work by using incandescent infrared heat lamps for heating. They emit mainly near infrared, some middle infrared and perhaps a tiny amount of far infrared energy. They also emit a small amount of red, orange and yellow visible light, providing warming and stimulating color therapy.
The infrared heat waves not only hit the body but also get inside, raising our body temperature without raising the surrounding air temperature. Because of this we sweat and through this sweat harmful elements of the body are removed. Infrared heat actually penetrates deep into the pores and cleanses out dirt and debris very quickly, as well as clearing organs of toxins and strengthening our immune system. Infrared saunas heal the body from the inside out.
