György Vashegyi was not even 20 when he first dedicated himself to this task. He has been passionately researching the oft-forgotten music of ancient times and put equal energy into his productions in collaboration with the Orfeo Orchestra and the Purcell Choir, which he himself founded. The highly respected conductor has much to tell the younger generation about this infinitely rich and to many people hidden trove of music that is anything but past its sell-by date.
