The world-famous Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra celebrated the 40th anniversary of its foundation in 2019. The ensemble and its founding conductor bring to the Budapest Spring Festival one of the greatest compositions of Handel’s Italian period, the Resurrection oratorio. The concert promises to be an outstanding artistic event of the Easter feast.
Dutch harpsichordist, organist, musicologist and conductor Ton Koopman has been a seminal figure of historic music. At age 25 he established the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra.
