This year, the caramelized white chocolate-coated Lotus biscuit caramel parlor candy made by the Szent Korona Confectionery in Soltvadkert won the Parlor Candy of The Year competition.
The caramelized white chocolate-coated Lotus biscuit caramel candy made by the Szent Korona confectionery in Soltvadkert won the Parlor Candy of the Year competition in 2025. Second place went to the Keszthelyi Sütibolt's crunchy wafer and salted caramel Christmas candy, and third place went to the Gyulai Kézműves Cukrászda DJC Stílusgyakorlat sweet, which was made based on this year's winning cake in the Hungary's Cake competition, the competition organizers told MTI.
The best parlor candies in Hungary
The winners of the competition were selected from 165 sweets from 24 manufacturers by the jury. A new category this year was the "free" category, in which parlor candies produced for people sensitive to sugar, gluten, and milk protein were allowed to compete.
The winner of the professional category was the confit orange jelly, dark chocolate, orange cream named Narancs Esszencia from Promenád Kávéház in Balatongyörök, the second place went to the smoky whiskey hazelnut dessert from Hóvirág Confectionery in Orosháza, and the third place went to the dark chocolate cherry szalonkukra from Hisztéria Confectionery.
The best jelly parlor candy was the Régi idők (Old days) jelly parlor candy from Keszthelyi Sütibolt, the second place went to the real cherry jelly dessert from Sulyán Confectionery, while the third place went to the Unikumos plum jelly parlor candy from Damniczki Confectionery in Székesfehérvár.
Parlor Candy of The Year: some more creations were awarded
In the category of sugar-free sweets, Diabette's orange-marzipan creation was the best, in the gluten-free category, the blackcurrant jelly sweets from Hisztéria Confectionery won, while in the dairy-free category, the sour cherry marzipan sweets from Stühmer were also awarded.
In the children's favorite category, the first place went to the chocolate sweets from Demeter Chocolate Dubai from Kiskunlacház, the raspberry cotton candy creation from Ricsi Confectionery from Pápa came in second place, and the real blueberry jelly dessert from Sulyán Confectionery came in third.
The new flavor of the year was the white chocolate puree sweets from Jogos Desszert chocolate and dessert workshop in Kaposvár, the pumpkin Berriolette puree.
