The Hamburg techno brass band Meute will perform for the first time in Budapest Park on July 23, 2026, the organizers told MTI on Friday.
The techno band Meute, consisting of percussionists and brass players, has been touring the world with their productions since 2015. Their performance combines techno with brass sounds, using only acoustic instruments.
Starting from the St. Pauli district of Hamburg, Meute has now gained international recognition. The band performs the techno genre in a brass band lineup, bringing a new approach to the "marching band" tradition. Their videos and concerts are attracting great interest worldwide.
The formation will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2025, and on this occasion their first compilation album, Jubel, was released in September, which is accompanied by a European tour. As part of the concert series, the band will perform in Budapest in the summer of 2026.
Meute has played around 600 concerts in over thirty countries over the past ten years. They have also participated in five successful North American tours and performed in Mexico, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, among others.
The band has performed in major clubs and festivals such as Coachella, Pukkelpop and Sziget. They have collaborated with several international artists, including van Flume, Ben Böhmer, as well as Marc Rebillet, who also performed at Budapest Park last year, and Deadmau5.
Ticket sales for Meute's concert on July 23, 2026, will begin on December 15 at 12:00, the announcement says.
