This is how people used to find refreshment in Budapest's baths and beaches 100 years ago.
The world changes a lot in a decade, let alone a hundred years. Scroll through our gallery to see old pictures of how the inhabitants of Budapest used to seek refreshment at local beaches and baths around 100 years ago.
Take a look at how much the Csillaghegyi and Palatinus beaches, as well as the Gellért Baths, have changed. You will also see places that no longer exist, such as Kristály Lake.
It is also interesting to see how people dressed, especially the men, who wore different swimsuits, and how almost everyone wore a swimming cap or a scarf in the pools.
