Gordon Ramsay, who became world famous with The F-Word, Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef TV shows, is opening his first Central European restaurant in Budapest. Let's see what we know about it so far.
Budapest's gastronomic palette is getting even more colorful: the first Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill restaurant in the Central European region will open in Budapest. This will take place in the summer of 2026, as part of the strategic cooperation between Dorothea Hotel, Budapest, Autograph Collection and Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global, according to the joint statement of the collaborating partners.
What will Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in Budapest be like?
We don't know too much about it yet, but one thing is certain: he will reinterpret the Bar & Grill philosophy in a local context, combining premium quality Hungarian ingredients from sustainable farms with Ramsay's characteristic international style - the statement says.
The Budapest menu will include the famous chef's signature dishes inspired by American and British classics, as well as sophisticated interpretations of traditional Hungarian favorites.
Commenting on the collaboration, Gordon Ramsay said that Budapest is a beautiful city with interesting architecture and a rich cultural and culinary history. "I am delighted to be joining this wonderful gastronomic scene with the opening of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill at the Dorothea Hotel," he added.

What can you expect when you visit Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in Budapest?
According to the press release, the kitchen will follow Ramsay's philosophy here as well: simple but perfectly prepared dishes and seasonal ingredients will be available in the Budapest restaurant from the summer of 2026. Hungarian suppliers will also be included in the supply chain.
The restaurant will open next year at the Dorothea Hotel, whose director, William Boulton-Smith, said: “We are honoured to be home to the first Gordon Ramsay restaurant in the Central European region and look forward to welcoming international travellers and local guests to the inspiring surroundings of the hotel, where they will soon be able to sample Gordon Ramsay’s signature dishes.”
