LP will be giving another concert in Hungary this summer. The world-famous American singer-songwriter will perform at Budapest Park on July 7.
LP, aka Laura Pergolizzi, became known for her 2016 hit Lost on You, which topped the charts in eighteen countries, adding that their strong voice and emotionally charged ballads have made LP one of the most popular singer-songwriters of her generation. This year, LP returns to Hungary for the fifth time, to perform at Budapest Park on July 7.
Love and self-sacrifice
Their songs, which focus on the themes of love and self-sacrifice, have been streamed more than 3 billion times worldwide, and their ukulele arrangements are considered their trademark.
Their first bold releases were released in the early 2000s, but LP's singing skills led to her signing with a record label and writing songs for artists such as Rihanna, Cher, the Backstreet Boys, Céline Dion and Christina Aguilera.
In 2014, they gained serious attention with their own material, the album Forever for Now, and especially with the breakthrough single Into the Wild. Many people first heard her in a television commercial and started searching the internet to find out who this artist was.
LP's next album, Lost on You in 2016, achieved international success: in addition to the folk ballad, the album's opening track, Muddy Waters, also became a big hit. From their next album, Heart to Mouth in 2018, Recovery and Girls Go Wild were among the most played radio hits.
LP has visited Hungary four times so far
The Los Angeles-based LP has released seven studio albums so far, with the latest, Love Lines, released in 2023. They have over 25 million monthly listeners and viewers, their concerts are sold out, and they have performed in around two hundred cities so far.
LP has visited Hungary four times so far: in 2018 and 2021 at Budapest Park, in 2019 at the VOLT Festival in Sopron, and in 2024 at the Budapest Sportarena.
