Gergely Bogányi's Chopin Evening to Kick Off Piano – Jakobi Concerts Series, which will host three concerts at Müpa in 2026, will kick off on January 8th, the organizers announced to MTI on Wednesday.
The first concert of the concert series, Gergely Bogányi's Chopin Evening, will feature 24 preludes, followed by a selection of the composer's ballads, etudes and nocturnes after the interval. The Kossuth and Liszt Prize-winning pianist will play on the piano he developed himself.
The Piano – Jakobi Concerts Series will continue with a concert by Grigorij Sokolov on March 12th and conclude with a solo recital by Dezső Ránki on September 24th.
Tickets for the concerts are available at the box offices of the Müpa and the Liszt Academy, as well as on this website, where further information can be found - the announcement states.
