All-art accompanying programs, guided tours and concerts await those interested from November 6 at the Design without borders exhibition in Budapest, at the Kiscelli Museum.
According to a statement sent to MTI by the Kiscelli Museum, the focus of the Design without borders exhibition and all-art event series, which will be open until November 16, is Dutch and Polish design. This year, visitors can see the works of 222 artists from 18 countries.
During the guided tours related to the exhibition, visitors can gain insight into this year's highlight themes, the Dutch and Polish design selection, the 184-year-old history of bentwood furniture (Thonet), which has defined design history, the behind-the-scenes of the CentriFUGA project of textile designers and contemporary composers, as well as the underlying content of a representative international jewelry selection, special university and alumni works.
Classical music mini-festival and an exciting performance
According to the announcement, the 3, 2, 1 classical music mini-festival will be held for the fifth time this year, the program of which is related to the Polish focus of the exhibition this year, and thus the works of Polish composers will be the focus of the three concerts. The title of the classical music mini-festival refers to the performing formations, the audience will be able to hear a trio, a duo and a solo concert with the participation of Katalin Károlyi on mezzo-soprano, Polish cellist Bartosz Koziak, violinist Oszkár Varga, cellist István Varga, pianist Gábor Csalog and pianist Róza Radnóti.
The concert series will be introduced by an experimental performance more closely related to the design exhibition. On November 6, the audience will be able to see the performance CANOGRAPHY by multidisciplinary artist Pia Imbar, which is a performative fusion of sound, movement and light. The performance will be accompanied by Róza Radnóti on piano.
On November 7, a curatorial tour and a trio concert await those interested. István Varga, Oszkár Varga and Gábor Csalog will perform works by Chopin and Schubert.
On November 8, in addition to the curatorial tour, a duo concert is also included in the program. Katalin Károlyi and Róza Radnóti will perform works by Chopin, Szymanowski and Fauré, while on November 9, in the solo concert following the curatorial tour, Róza Radnóti will perform a selection of works by Bacewicz, Lutoslawski, Penderecki, Bartók, Ligeti and Sári - the announcement states.
