50 galleries and hundreds of millions of forints worth of art treasures await you at the upcoming 8th Art and Antique Exhibition and Fair in Budapest.
The country's largest art fair will be held betweeen February 26 and March 1 in a larger area and with more exhibitors than ever before. This year, 50 galleries have announced their participation, and the organizers of Art and Antique are expecting a record number of visitors.
Due to the great interest, new rooms will be opened to visitors at this year's Art and Antique in Bálna. In addition to paintings and sculptures, furniture, jewelry, carpets, books and other art objects are increasingly appearing in the fair's offer.

“Every year, Art and Antique provides a comprehensive picture of the domestic situation of the Hungarian art market. We are proud that interest among exhibitors and the public is constantly growing, which is why we expect a record number of visitors in 2026,” said Ádám Tausz, the main organizer. “It is especially pleasing that the audience is getting younger: the 20-something generation is just as enthusiastic about art as the members of Generation X. Accordingly, we are presenting ourselves with a renewed image this year, and the range is also increasingly diverse,” added Ádám Tausz.
Art and Antique is the most important art fair of the year, where the latest contemporary works fit in well alongside classic paintings and patinated furniture. The main attraction of the event held in Bálna is that interested parties can find design objects and accessories worth a few thousand forints as well as collector’s treasures worth tens of millions. Buying is not mandatory, Art and Antique is an excellent program for those who want to get lost in the colorful whirlwind of art objects.

Visitors can also enjoy guided tours and a prize draw at the most versatile art event of the year. The game was announced by the BÁV ART Auction House and Gallery and the grand prize is a stylish necklace. The 14-carat white gold chain and pendant are decorated with a 0.485 ct brilliant-cut diamond and are worth over 600,000 forints. One of the visitors will leave the exhibition with this sparkling, elegant piece of jewelry.
