In the newest Tripadvisor ranking, Travelers' Choice Awards Best of the Best Destinations, Budapest is in the top 25. 

"These destinations are our top spots for good reason—they’ve got everything travelers are looking for and more" - Tripadvisor writes, before introducing the top 25 places from their latest ranking. 

They add that the Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel. It’s awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. 

Remarkably, out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone.

The top 10 includes Bali, London, Dubai, Paris, Rome and New York City, while Budapest is also on the list as the only representative from the Middle Eastern European region, coming in at 23rd. 

Why is Budapest one of the world's best travel destinations?

If you have ever visited, you will already be familiar with the city's beauty and charm. Our capital is a truly unique and amazing place to visit and explore. TripAdvisor highlights the city's wonderful spas, as well as its "history, culture, and natural beauty".
