Párisi Udvar (Parisian Court)

The Párisi Udvar (Parisian Court) is located in the heart of Budapest, on Ferenciek Square. At the beginning of the last century, the headquarters of the Belvárosi Takarékpénztar was built here in a historicizing style, bearing Arabic, Moorish and Art Nouveau features. The ground floor, interior part of it, is the Párisi Udvar, which is the only shopping courtyard in Budapest that still exists from the early 20th century.

The building was abandoned for a long time before its full renovation began in the spring of 2016, and a five-star hotel, as well as restaurants, cafes, shops, a conference room and a fitness center were created in the beautiful, turn-of-the-century splendor of the Paris Courtyard.

What is worth trying in the Párisi Udvar?

The building houses the boutique hotel called the Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest, which is a member of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt and has 110 rooms, including 18 suites and the two largest presidential suites in our capital.

The hotel is an architectural masterpiece, where the charm of the last century meets modern sophistication.

The hotel and its Párisi Passage Café & Brasserie restaurant revive the sparkling atmosphere of the beginning of the last century, with ornate majolica tiles, Murano glass mosaics and the breathtaking Luxfer prism crystal dome.

The restaurant and café are located in the reimagined space of the legendary passage. During the day, the Café & Brasserie evokes the atmosphere of a sparkling coffee house at the turn of the century, and in the evening it transforms into a bar where guests can relax with cocktails and piano music.

The passage part is open, so if you are in Budapest and visiting, it is worth walking through it: you will feel as if you are not just taking part in a time journey, but also falling into a secret, now forgotten world.

Events at the Párisi Udvar

The Párisi Udvar offers over 300 square meters of event and conference space, divided into four separate, multifunctional venues, salons and meeting rooms. Spread across two levels, these spaces can accommodate up to 170 guests simultaneously being ideal for upscale and special occasions.
