On the night of June 20, 2026, museums will come back to life – special guided tours, concerts, family programs and surprises await everyone on the Night of Museums.
In the meantime, it is worth:
The detailed program will be available for the end of May. Until then, let's take a look at the answers for some of the most frequently asked questions.
Entry wristbands for the Budapest Museums Night can be purchased at the participating museums and venues in Budapest, as well as on the jegymester.hu website. (Tickets ordered from the ticket office can be redeemed at the central ticket office located at: 1065 Budapest, Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út 31., and at the museum ticket offices or by Foxpost until June 17.)
In the countryside, tickets can be purchased at the relevant museums.
In Budapest, an adult wristband costs HUF 3,000 and a child's wristband (valid for 6-18 year olds) costs HUF 1,500. Admission for children under 6 years of age is free of charge! Admission information for institutions outside the capital can be obtained directly from the institutions themselves.
The wristbands which can be purchased in the capital provide access to every program of all the participating museums and cultural institutions in Budapest, as well as the right to view permanent and temporary exhibitions. Due to the nature of the programs or the capacity of the exhibition spaces, admission to some venues is limited in number. Information and conditions regarding these restrictions and pre-registration will always be posted alongside the respective programs. In Budapest, the armband is valid for the BKK SPECIAL TOURS operating this evening, i.e. the museum bus tours marked MU.
For locations in the capital, Budapest, we recommend planning your route in advance using the Muzej event@hand application. We recommend public transport and alternative means of transport. Day and night public transport is available, and of course most of the venues can also be reached by car. This year's armbands are valid for BKK'S DEDICATED ROUTE BUSES, marked MU, but in case of using regular public transportation in the capital, tickets must be purchased to travel.
