Almost 7,000 dogs will be judged by domestic and foreign judges at the FeHoVa WinterDogShow international dog show from Thursday to Sunday at the Hungexpo in Budapest.
More than 400 dachshunds are coming to the event from all over the world. Saturday is of particular importance, as it is the day of the Welt Union Teckel (WUT) Dachshund World Show, for which 424 dachshunds have been entered. All sizes and colors of short-haired, wire-haired and long-haired dachshunds will be on display in the rings, so the public can also encounter rarely seen breeds, the organizers told MTI.
In addition to dachshunds, terriers, greyhounds, schnauzers, pinschers, spitz and hounds will also be in the spotlight, and on Saturday more than 300 terriers and almost 200 greyhounds will be presented to international judges.
On Friday, the most beautiful champion dogs will enter the ring at the Champions Champion show event, and the Best in Show program offers a spectacular closing event every day. On Thursday, Friday and Sunday, the most beautiful dog of the day will be chosen from 3 p.m., and on Friday, from 2 p.m., the athletes who achieved outstanding results in the previous year will be greeted at a ceremonial award ceremony.
The international dog show is held at the same time as the FeHoVa (Weapons, Fishing and Hunting) trade show.
