Metallica to Perform Twice in Budapest Next June
The band will return to Budapest after eight years.
Next spring, 5 Seconds of Summer will also perform in Hungary as part of their European tour. The world-famous Australian pop group will perform at the MVM Dome on April 24, 2026, with their upcoming album Everyone's a Star!. The band has become the most successful Australian artist of all time, after their first three albums topped the US Billboard charts, while their other two albums also climbed to number 2 - organizer Live Nation told MTI.
The debut album 5 Seconds of Summer was released in 2014, Sounds Good Feels Good in 2015, Youngblood in 2018, Calm in 2020, and 5SOS5 in 2022.
The band is known for hits like She Looks So Perfect, Amnesia and Youngblood, which have become defining songs for an entire generation worldwide.
The multi-platinum pop group, which features Luke Hemmings (vocals, guitar), Calum Hood (bass guitar), Ashton Irwin (drums) and Michael Clifford (guitar), last visited Budapest in 2023, after the end of the tour at that time, the members focused mostly on their solo projects. 5 Seconds of Summer's return will be brought by their sixth album, Everyone's a Star!, which will be released on November 14.
Two songs have been released from the new album so far: the first is the energetic pop-rock song, Not Ok, which shows the darker side of the members, and the second is Boyband, which summarizes the experiences gained during their more than ten years of existence, but was also inspired by the tragic death of One Direction member Liam Payne last year.
