Physical therapy also involves the prevention of injury, impairment, functional limitation, and disability, including the promotion and maintenance of fitness, health, and quality of life in people of all ages. Physical therapists not only engage in consultation but also education, and research.
The methods of physical therapy involve hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, mechanotherapy (e.g. massage), ultrasound, heliotherapy, etc.
