Paprika Potatoes
Ingredients:
5 oz. smoked bacon (optional, instead you can use 1 tbsp.oil
1 large onion
5 oz. Hungarian paprika sausage or hot dogs
1 green pepper
salt, pepper to taste
1 tomato
1 heaped tsp. paprika
1 lb. potatoes
1.Cook the diced smoked bacon until it loses all the fat,
fry the finely chopped onion until it is transparent. Add the
green pepper cut into pieces, the paprika sausage cut into
rings and stew together for a short time. Sprinkle with
paprika add the peeled potatoes cut into cubes or thick
juliennes, the tomatoes, salt and pepper. Cook in the bacon
fat for a minute or two stirring constantly. Add enough water
to caver half-way. Cook on medium heat until all ingredients
are cooked.
2. For extra flavor you can add hot dogs or use them instead
of the paprika sausage. Make sure the liquid is not too
diluted at the end of cooking time, because the dish will lose
its flavor.
