Pan-fried Rostélyos
Ingredients:
4 slices deboned sirloin or beef (approx.1 1/2 lb)
1 garlic
2 tbsp. oil
1 heaped tsp. paprika
salt, pepper to taste
1 large onion
1 lb. potatoes
1 tomato
1 green pepper
1.Salt and pepper the meat slices. Spread the crushed
garlic on top. Cook the finely chopped onion in the oil, add
the meat, sprinkle with paprika and stew in its own juice,
covered on a low heat until almost tender.
2. Meanwhile, peel the potatoes and cut into lengthwise
pieces as for French fries. Add to the meat, add a bit of
water and more salt to taste, add green pepper cut into rings
and peeled tomato and continue cooking on a low heat for
approx. 15-20 minutes. Make sure you get a thick sauce when
the rostelyos is done. serve hot.
