Lecsó
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb. green peppers
1 lb. tomatoes
3 1/2 lb. smoked bacon (optional)
1 large onion
salt to taste
5 oz. paprika sausage
1 heaped tsp. paprika
1.Wash and core green peppers and cut into rings.
Blanche the tomatoes, peel and quarter. (Optional, you can use
the tomatoes without blanching.)
2. Cook the thinly sliced smoked bacon until fat comes out. (
You can use oil too.) Fry the finely chopped onions until
transparent. Add green peppers, paprika sausage cut into rings
and cook for 10 minutes.
3. Add tomatoes ,salt to taste, sprinkle with paprika and cook
covered over medium heat until tender.
4. For those who like it hot, serve crushed peppers in a small
dish on the side.
