Fisherman's Soup
Ingredients:
1 lb. small fish
2 onions
8 slices carp (or other large fish)
1 tbsp. paprika
salt to taste
1hot green or hot cherry pepper
1.Clean the small fish and cook over low heat in just
enough water to cover. 2.Discard the small fish, put the
liquid through a sieve and continue cooking with the
finely chopped onions for 30-35 minutes
3.Put onions through a sieve, put back in the soup and add
2 qt. water. Bring to boil, carefully add carp slices, the
roe, the paprika and salt, cook covered over low heat for
approx.. 10-15 minutes.
4.For a spicy soup add the hot green pepper rings or the
crushed cherry pepper towards the end of cooking time. Serve
this pieces in a separate bowl for not everyone likes
the very hot soup.
