There is a motto in Latin on the facade of the building: „Artibus - Litteris - Vitae": "For the Art, Literature, Life" The collection of the University Library treasures numerous antiquities. In their most guarded vaults are 185 Codices, of which 14 are Corvinas from the time of King Matthias. Also, 1150 pieces of antique printed matters are in store at the library.
