bauhaus
One of the predominant architectural styles of the 1930-s and 1940-s in Budapest was Bauhaus, promoting modern style, the usage of machines and enlightened functionalism.
One of its centres is the inner part of Buda, the Pasarét, which was built during the 1930s. In 1931, according to the Stuttgart model, the capital city allowed for an entire street to be built in by various designers and entrepreneurs who supported modern architecture.
