Adjacent to the lobby of Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace, there is an elegant and traditional café with a wide selection of coffees and teas.

Modeled on a café long frequented by Budapest's intelligentsia from the nearby Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Gresham Kávéház is adjacent to the magnificent Hotel lobby and offers both international and Hungarian specialties for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In keeping with the city's coffeehouse tradition, a wonderful selection of cakes and pastries and a variety of coffees and teas can also be enjoyed.

Hungarian Academy of Sciences
The building of the Academy on Roosevelt tér was the first example of Neo-Renaissance architecture in Budapest. Count István Széchenyi, often referred to as “the greatest Hungarian”, offered one year’s income for its foundation in 1825. The construction was finished in 1865; the architect was Friedrich Stüler from Berlin, the official architect to the Prussian crown.

Lánchíd (Chain Bridge)
The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is the first permanent bridge over the Danube between Buda and Pest. Built in 1849, it played a major role in the unification of Pest, Buda and Óbuda later in 1873.
